State of Origin 2023

Queensland Looks to Level Series

The Queensland Maroons have named their team for Game Two of the 2023 State of Origin series, with a number of changes from the side that lost the series opener in Sydney.

Kalyn Ponga has been ruled out of the match with a shoulder injury, with Reece Walsh taking his place at fullback. Kurt Capewell has also been ruled out, replaced by Thomas Flegler in the second row.

The Maroons will be looking to level the series in Game Two, which will be played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. The Blues will be looking to seal the series and claim their first Origin victory in Queensland since 2019.

The match is shaping up to be a blockbuster, with both teams desperate for a win. The Maroons will be looking to bounce back from their Game One defeat, while the Blues will be looking to continue their winning streak and seal the series.
